Recycling and Disposal of Waste
EMS is fully committed to the efficient recycling and disposal of all waste - this includes all waste cable (from installation through to strip-out at the end of a project) which is sorted and sent for recycling and the appropriate disposal of toxic and hazardous materials.
An example of dealing with hazardous waste is the safe disposal of failed fluorescent lamps (the mercury inside these lamps is highly toxic). EMS implements the use of a lamp crusher which crushes the lamps in a sealed chamber - the toxic fumes are fully contained and filtered and the debris is collected in a sealed drum which is then sent to a recycling plant.
