Temporary evacuation and nurse call system solutions for construction sites

Our specialist design team will create a bespoke solution that meets the needs of your site and that helps you to meet your insurance and legal obligations too. We build-in safety features as standard. For example, the power supply to our evacuation and nurse call systems is independent of other power supplies on site.

Furthermore, all our services can be upgraded or downgraded as your risks change during different phases of the project. This saves you costs and resources.

Identifying and adopting innovative solutions

We focus on delivering fit-for-purpose evacuation and nurse call systems that regularly feature the latest safety technology.

All of our solutions are underpinned by technologies that have an existing track record of construction site use.

Non-addressable

A non-addressable solution is a basic system that can be controlled electronically. It provides zoned detection of a fire on-site but doesn’t pinpoint the exact location. Your solution comes with escape route maps and panels connected to other devices that detect smoke or water release.

It has remote dialling capabilities, for example, to activate fans or offsite monitoring services. Analogue addressable systems are cheaper than digital systems.

Addressable

An addressable solution is a more sophisticated system that provides the exact location of a fire. It requires less maintenance than non-addressable systems and has greater programming capabilities.

For example, door release, sprinkler, and fire damper activation, and allows connectivity to multiple devices. We recommend an addressable solution for larger sites, but there are cost implications.

Nurse call systems

Nurse call systems are manually operated solutions, such as intercoms, that allow remote communication between parties on site.

They can be installed at entry points to the site, or between remote offices and restricted-access areas. Nurse call solutions can include handheld radios.

Voice-activated systems

A voice-activated solution features a response to pre-set voice frequencies, allowing ‘hands-free’ activation within a specified radius. These solutions are highly effective if an accident occurs to an isolated individual who cannot reach a conventional alarm.

Radio fire systems

Radio solutions are ideal where hardwired systems are not suitable, for example on projects in heritage sites where the building or site cannot be disturbed.

Peripheral services

We apply our extensive experience to anticipate evacuation scenarios that may occur on busy construction sites, whether they are due to fire, intruders, or accidents. Our experienced design team works with you to establish exit routes based on the logistics of your site and future operations.

We can also perform test drills to keep your evacuation procedures current. We recommend that on larger sites, the alarm systems be directly linked to fire services.

Conventional evacuation systems

Your site’s security is our priority, which is why we thoroughly test our products before and during installation. We follow up with a comprehensive post-installation support service to monitor and maintain your bespoke installations while they are in use.

We record and share the findings of our tests with you. In the unlikely event of equipment failure, we promptly replace affected equipment. We also operate a 24-hour, 365-day call-out or remote advisory service.
